Hello, thank you for visiting our site.
I started Silent Voices primarily because I experienced firsthand what it was like to honor the wishes of my mother and mother-in-law during a time in their lives when they wanted to remain in the comforts of their home, instead of going to a nursing facility. Each parent suffered from an illness that required 24/7 care and monitoring. The level of care each required was not always easy, but it was definitely worth it.
For more than 10 years, I was a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for neglected children and children-in-need of services. As a CASA, I was the ‘child's’ voice in the courtroom, hence the name Silent Voices. It has been my heart's desire to do my part to ensure the care, safety, and welfare of children.
Because of the passion and love I have for children, my decision to transition from helping children to helping seniors was not an easy choice; however, when I thought about our parents journey and several news stories about elder abuse, my heart ached. I prayed and asked the Lord to show me what He would have me to do to help the elderly. Each time I prayed about how I could be of assistance, God placed opportunities and people in my path to allow me to move forward with my vision of helping our seniors, and people of all ages.
The Bible has much to say about caring for elderly parents and other family members who are not able to care for themselves. We have an obligation to our seniors; if they are in need of financial assistance, we should help them. If they are sick, we should take care of them. If they need a place to stay, we should offer our home. If they need help with household work, we should step up to assist.
Silent Voices does not only apply to the voice of a child; 'silent voices' also applies to the voice of our seniors that often go unheard.
At Silent Voices Home Care Solutions, we want seniors and their loved ones to know, ‘We Hear You.’ We have one goal – to provide ‘exceptional care.’
My pledge to each and every client is...anything less than our best is not acceptable.
I thank God everyday for the opportunity to serve Him by caring for others, especially our seniors.
Special thanks to my husband Jeff for his unwavering love and support and to my family and friends for their prayers and words of encouragement.
Blessings - Michelle
